DJ Humps

DJ Humps is only 13 year old lad from Preston that has a passion about DJ’ing and music. It all started a couple of years ago when my dad bought me my first mixing decks for Christmas. Man, I was so excited! From that day on, I practiced and practiced until I felt confident with operating my decks. I then started to mix music from different genres; Dance hall, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, Amapiano, House, Bashment, Drill and Grime and even club classics. I will give any genre a try. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t. I think its about trying different sounds and techniques to get that blend and beat drop that just ‘hits’ you. So when it didn’t sound right, I practiced until it did.

I then started to DJ at my local social club which then led to me being asked to DJ at parties and festivals. The joy I feel when DJ’ing is unreal. I have done Blackpool Pride 2025, Caribbean Carnivals around Preston and Derby and a few teenage rave events around Lancashire too.

I thrive on my music daily and I get a buzz seeing the joy and participation from the audience I play to. Just makes the room bounce!
